Don Mills

Don Mills is bounded by the Canadian Pacific Railway to the south, Leslie Street to the west, York Mills Road to the north and Victoria Park Avenue to the east. It is located in the district of North York and was initially developed to be a self-supporting ‘new town’.

It is a mixed-use neighbourhood with three types of sub-districts; residential, commercial and industrial. The Don Mills Shopping Centre initially opened as an outdoor shopping plaza back in the 1960s and was converted into an indoor shopping centre as times and tastes developed. Currently, it has been transformed back and shoppers can enjoy an outdoor retail experience.

Don Mills is not only known for great shopping and restaurants, but it is also a neighbourhood that is home to an array of community events and festivals throughout the year.
